Senior citizen Louise Signore, born in Harlem in 1912, celebrated her special day on Wednesday and shared some of her tips for longevity, which include dancing, playing bingo and eating Italian food.
“I have to exercise,” she told CBS.
“I still do a little dancing. After my lunch, I play bingo.”
Louise still amazingly walks without a mobility aid, still does her own shopping and isn’t on any medication. When asked for her secret to long life, she said, “I never got married. I think that’s the secret. My sister says, ‘I wish I never got married!’.”
Longevity seems to run in Signore’s family, as her sister is 102 years old and her mother lived to 97, MNS lifestyle reports.
CBS’ Jessica Layton posted a picture of Louise on Twitter and captioned it, “God bless this amazing woman who is 107 years old today! Big party with her friends and family in the Bronx. Lots of keys to living so long – including eating Italian food, dancing, and she emphasized never getting married.”
