It's Mental Health Awareness Month and it's all about helping to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with it.

Mental illnesses vary and there's no one-size-fits-all cure or approach for them. This makes it harder to deal with and is one of the reasons clinical psychologist Dr Cino Shearer (33) set up his foundation.

“Mental health problems are often the result of a complex interaction between biological, psychological, social and environmental factors either from childhood, generational or mental issues. It could be for a number of reasons,” he says.
