I remember the day I first saw him. It   was on a beautiful Monday morning. I walked my younger     sister to school.  He was with some of his colleagues on his way to work. He looked at me, smiled and said, “Hi”.  “What a handsome, tall man,” I said to my sister. We both laughed and said if only he were not wearing those ugly boots.  Later that day my neighbour said he had a message for me. I did not pay much attention.

The next day I walked my sister to school and again we ran into him.  Like the day before, he smiled, greeted, and walked on. I turned around to look at him only to find he had  done the same!   I felt butterflies in my stomach.  A week passed without  seeing him. Just as I started to wonder what had happened to him, my phone rang. “Hi, is this Nicole?”  asked a deep voice.  “Yes,” I said. “Who is this?”  “Willy*,” he said.“Willy who? And where did you get my cellphone number?”  “I got it from your neighbour, Musa*.
