HELP: "How can I tell my parents that I’m gay"

accreditation

Anonymous from Bergville writes:

I am a 22-year-old guy and

would like to tell my parents

that I am gay. But I do not know how

I can tell them about this.

Sis Naledi answers:

A It is not easy to discuss things

you know may not be well received

due to people’s stereotypes

and prejudice.

It often helps to start talking about

other people who are gay whether

from TV or your community first.

While talking about them, try to

educate your family that people can

be different. If you have another

relative that understands you, talk to

them to help you introduce the topic

to your parents.
