"I miss our friendship"

I’m a 25-year-old woman. My friend and I are no longer on speaking terms after she made a move on my man two years ago. I want to forgive her, but I can’t trust her. She competes with me all the time – she wants what I have and sometimes I feel guilty if I buy things that she can’t afford. I miss our friendship, but I don’t want to deal with this jealousy. Should I give her a second chance? Please help.

Two years is a long time for you to harbour these feelings. Sit down with your friend and tell her why you don’t trust her. Tell her that you want your friendship back but she also needs to change. Let me warn you, jealousy can destroy good relationships. She needs to live her life and stop comparing – people are not the same

and will never be completely equal.
