Inspired by the spiritual, connected to the beauty and texture of the physical, Urban Zulu reflects the balance between the higher ideals of love and unity and practical functionality.

The “Urban” element of the brand speaks to the fast paced lifestyle demands of modern living. Our clothes remain functional and relevant in contemporary society; yet still reflect the unique nuances of our African identity.

Capes and cloaks by Urban Zulu

In Medieval Europe, capes and cloaks were everyday wear, common amongst men and women. Gradually through the times, capes and cloaks have evolved some short, long and some hooded. Capes and cloaks kept people warm in winter but have also added a bold dignified classy statement to any outfit.

In African cultures many wear capes and cloaks to cover the shoulders for important high-profile gathering as a sign of respect and dignity. The show is scheduled for Thursday the 22nd October at the Crawn Plaza Hotel, Rosebank.
