Uthungulu Last Dance Music Festival 2015


The countdown to the Uthungulu Last Dance Music Festival, on the 31st December in Richards Bay Sports Complex has  begun.

The 2015th Uthungulu Last Dance is hosted by Mbawula Investments (PTY) LTD in association with Uthungulu District Municipality, Ukhozi FM, Isolezwe and uMhlathuze Municipality.

Event organiser, Sipho Ndaba says: “I want to assure everyone that the event will indeed take place. The line-up features a variety of artists to cater for all races as you know that one of our event’s objectives is to promote social cohesion.”

Come and rub shoulders with DJs Abicah Soul (Chicago USA), Harrison Crump (Chicago, USA) & Black Coffee, Joyous Celebration, Prime Circle, Zahara, Mondli Ngcobo & DJ Merlon, Oskido, Professor, Riky Rick, Heavy K, DJ Deon Govender (East Coast Radio)  and many more whom we will reveal closer to the date.

“This year we will remember Mr Thulani Mashaba who was very passionate about our event and deputy mayor of Uthungulu District Municipality. Joyous Celebration will lead us through that,” commented Sipho. Mashaba died in a car crash near Ballito in July.

The main aim of the event is to boost tourism while having fun in the Uthungulu District. . It is part of the district’s tourism campaign, Uthungulu King’s Experience Tourism Campaign, aimed at attracting tourists to explore what our historic district has to offer.

As in the previous years, this year’s event will see us going back to the Alkantstrand Beach on the 1st of January for a free concert.

“People can come with their young ones because there will be a safe designated area for them where there will play in jumping castles under a watchful eye of our highly trained guards,” said Sipho.
