Their quirks and lines have left fans laughing, crying or shook since the dynamic mother and son duo was introduced.

Gomora’s Teddy and Zodwa, played by Sicelo Buthelezi and Sana Mchunu, have sneaked into South African’s hearts.

As the telenovela celebrates 100 episodes, we look at some of the best mother and son moments they’ve served up.

Zodwa wants her son back

An intoxicated Zodwa demands her son back from Gladys (Thembi Seete) and she didn’t care who stands in her way. She held Gladys and Melusi’s son Ntokozo at knife point, demanding that Teddy pack his bags and go back home with her or Ntokozo gets it on the pointy end.

Teddy spoils his mom for her first day at work

It’s the thought that counts and Teddy showed us that with this heartfelt gesture of moving back home and welcoming Zodwa with a home cooked meal when she arrived back from work on her first day at work.

New and improved Zodwa

After a six-week rehab programme, Zodwa had to start all over and that included checking her friendship circle. She ended kicking out her drunk friends when a worried Teddy walked in as Zodwa was holding a ngudu, terrified that Zodwa had gone back to the bottle.

Zodwa and the boys are shocked when Gladys brings an unwanted guest

Enter Robert Mpisi as London. The drama continues when London has a fight with Melusi at school and Teddy, Zodwa and Ntokozo were not at all impressed when Gladys brings London home to stay with them.

‘Are you over her?’

A caring mother worried about her son keeps up with his love life. A worried Zodwa checks up on Teddy after he shared his feelings for Buhle (Ama Qamata), who friend-zoned him and ended up dating Ntokozo, his best friend and brother. This scene is nothing but awkward as the heartbroken Teddy licks his wounds.
