According to reports legendary radio presenter Bob Mabena has passed away, aged 51.

Power FM chairperson Given Mkhari confirmed the news on air. 

According to his statement, Bob was recently discharged from hospital but his health deteriorated. He was then taken to ICU where he then passed away.

Details surrounding his death are yet to be confirmed.

Just last month, the radio star announced that he had lost his grandmother to Covid-19.

In 2017, Bob left Kaya FM and became Group Head of Programming at MSG Broadcasting. He later joined Power FM as their breakfast host in February 2020.
