Speaking to entertainer Somizi Mhlongo about Pride Month and sexuality, Zozi commented on the future of her crown.

“We actually do not know what is going to happen yet with the crowning, so we are all still waiting and crossing fingers,” she said when asked how she’d do the Miss Universe 2020 crowning. Somizi then asked her if she thinks her reign should be extended.

The beauty queen jokingly replied that Somizi should draft an email to the Miss Universe team.

“But I guess we’ll talk to Miss Universe and nawe you should draft them an email nyana, where you’re like, ‘Haibo, haibo hau’,” she joked.

In May, it was announced that the 2020 Miss SA pageant will go forward but with a new “format” that complies with the coronavirus safety regulations.
