Lockdown may prove to be a difficult time for many, especially those in the entertainment industry, but musician Betusile Mcinga (36) has been using this time to work on his craft, making music for the masses. “I have released two singles so far during lockdown, ItarhuLakho and Ikhona Indawo medley. ItarhuLakho is doing very well, it has been leading on charts since the release date till now, the song has been trending in social media with people all over the world posting videos singing along,” he gushes. He recently secured me an online performance with a USA based event company called Africa - USA Unity Event and by the looks and sounds of things, the sky’s the limit for him.

While starting off in the industry doing only gospel music, his way of preaching the word of God, he’s now branched out to explore other genres. Earlier in the year he collaborated with the likes of Jumbo, Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo on a track titled #SBWL (Ngiyafisa Nkosi) which is still leading the charts.

"I decided that if I work with other artists from different genres it will give me platform to reach people who are still far from God and make them accept Him as the Lord and savior, now I started performing… where in the past they never featured a gospel artist ".
