Ntando Mahlangu needs a new plan.
The South African Paralympic medal winner is one of the top athletes featured in the new Netflix documentary Phoenix Rising, which is streaming now. Ntando (18), who does not have lower legs, was a kid in a wheelchair when he made a list of his goals.
“When I was in the wheelchair, I was limited but I wrote down everything that I wanted to achieve, I wrote down my goals. When I was 12 years old, I was dreaming of going to Rio [Paralympic Games] in 2016, and when I was 14, I did. I had a 10-year plan and I pasted it on my wall in my bedroom, however it’s ending in two years and I have to start new one,” he jokes.
