Somizi Mhlongo-Mataung and his husband Mohale Mogale-Motaung, popularly known as ‘Somhale’, are celebrating their first year marriage anniversary and the couple is still head over heels in love.

Somizi took to his Instagram to celebrate his wedding anniversary. He asked his followers to help him convince his husband to go live with him on Instagram so they can share their experiences of the first year of marriage.

Somizi and Mohale's extravagant weddings were aired on Showmax last year, solidifying them as one of Mzansi’s favorite celebrity couples.

“Happy one year wedding anniversary to us......please help me convince my husband that we go on live this evening to share what the first year of marriage feels like and us like.......I feel like theres a lot if things that we are not told about by newly weds that cud be helpful to anyone who is about to get married,” he posted.

He said their experiences had led them to their anniversary.

“But whatever it is that we have experienced got us to where we are today.......I love u MOTAUNG MHLONGO”

Their first year hasn't been all roses and champagne.

The couple suffered a great loss when Somizi’s mother, Mary Twala died on the 4th of July aged 79.
