She had the world at her feet. A song she was featured on was played in every pub, club and tavern, she was making more money than she’d ever seen and was booked almost every weekend.

Then it all came crumbling down for Thandi Nakampe Mokgoankgoa (31), who goes by Fiesta Black.

She became an overnight sensation at 23 when the song Xigubu was released by Dj Ganyani. The more famous she became, the more volatile. She stopped showing up at gigs, she spoke her mind and would often lose her cool in public.
