Will Smith recently described his divorce from his wife as his “ultimate failure” and the “worst thing” in his adult life.

The American actor was married to his first wife Sheree Zampino in 1992 and the pair got divorced three years later.

Speaking to his current wife Jada Pinkett Smith during an episode of the ‘Red Table Talk’ about his first marriage, Will said divorce was the worst thing he had to go through has an adult.

"Divorce was the worst thing in my adult life," he says.

"I've been hurt a lot in my adult life, but I don’t think anything touches the failure of getting divorced from my two-year-old son’s mother."

The former couple share a son, Trey Smith.

And two years after getting divorce from Sheree, the 51-year-old actor went on to marry Jada Pinkett-Smith, whom he has been together with for the past 23 years. The pair has two children together Jaden Smith, 21, and Willow Smith, 19.

In previous conversations Jade and Will have shared that they will never get divorced, as they have put in a lot of work in order to make their marriage work.

Jada has shared before how divorce has never crossed her mind, no matter how tough marriage gets. Will has said he never wants to get divorce especially since he has been divorced before.

"All that relationship and what people think ideas of a husband, partner and all that, man, whatever. At the end of the day, that is a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period,” says Jada.
