Ever wondered how this lockdown is for those in the entertainment industry? Well, radio personality Dineo Ranaka let us in on her day during this period. And if you’re one of the people who has been more productive working from home, you’re not alone. Dineo says even though work is continuing as usual, she’s had to find creative ways to go about her other projects, and she’s noticed how productive she’s been through it all.

Wake up: 7am

“I wake at normal work time. My schedule hasn’t changed since I’m at work regularly, either broadcasting from the Metro FM studio or now recently from home.”

Eating habits: “It depends, I’ve never been one to watch what I eat or watch my weight so that continues as normal too.

“Nothing specific or routine – my family and I eat whatever comes to mind at those times but also whatever is suitable for those times. We have no set menu.”

Between meals: “Nothing has changed on my end except for not being social obviously and being unable to gig. One thing I have noticed is that I’m more productive now work-wise than I was before. My teams and I are doing well working remotely so far. We have not stopped any of our projects – we have just found creative ways to continue them during this time.”

Watchlist: “We watch a lot of Netflix and DStv.”

Bedtime: “Bedtime is just like any other day – sometimes very late, sometimes early, and that ranges between 9pm and 1am for adults. Kids, much earlier.”
