Dineo Ranaka on her new single ‘Sibahle’: “I wanted a female anthem for the festive season”


Radio and television personality, Dineo Ranaka recently released her new single titled Sibahle.

The Metro FM host recorded a song about 8 years ago, titled I will survive, which was used as the theme song for her reality show, Dineo's Diary.

Dineo took to social media to share her excitement about her new single.

“Thank you SOOOOOOO MUCH for the love on the pre-drop of my single #Sibahle we met the deadline and trended at number 1 because of YOU x YOU x YOU x YOU!! Expect a video to drop soon, (sic).” she wrote.

In an interview with DRUM Dineo said that she loves the amapiano and afrotech sound hence why Sibahle is a fusion of the two.

“If you listen to the lyrical content, you’ll hear that I wanted a female anthem for the festive season aimed at us women to remind ourselves that we are beautiful, independent and loyal in our relationships.”

Dineo also said that this is her first time releasing a song. In the past few years she has recorded music and also posted videos on YouTube, but she has never released anything publicly.

“Going forward I plan on doing features, performances and I’m also putting together an EP of which I am hopeful, will be released in the new year.”

“With regards to an album I don’t know I’ll see were my spirit guides me because I’m a very spiritual person, I don’t just do things on my own,” she shared.

Dineo also added that the single will be available soon before the 16th of December and fans can download the song for free, the link will be available soon.
