Famed for her big personality and blonde hairdo, V-Mash served as the reason many South Africans tuned into SABC1’s hit variety show, Jam Alley. She was loved for her colourful vibe and catchy phrases such as “Iyo, bangani, iyo! (Yes, friends, yes!)”

The nation, and her family have suffered a great loss.

“I was the one who understood her more than anyone in the family. You know how families are like towards the black sheep? I spoke up for her and always took her side because I understood her personality,” her aunt Isabella Maifale tells us.

From Jam Alley to acting and music – thank you for the memories, V-Mash. Your passing has “left a gaping hole in the industry”.
