Florence Masebe doesn’t feel sorry for her sick uncle who sexually violated her from age 11: ‘I do not feel an ounce of sadness’

Veteran actress Florence Masebe is not one to shy away from issues she feels passionate about. The actress recently revealed that her childhood abuser was protected by her relatives.

The man in question is apparently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. According to Cancercenter.com, stage 4 cancer is sometimes referred to as metastatic cancer, because it often means the cancer has spread from its origin to distant parts of the body. This stage may be diagnosed years after the initial cancer diagnosis and/or after the primary cancer has been treated or removed.

The actress was not reticent to say she doesn’t pity him at all. Instead, she was ready to go get herself a new dress.

“The paedophile uncle that violated me from the age of 11 and got protected by relatives including his mother and wife has stage 4 cancer. I do not feel an ounce of sadness. Instead, I want to go shopping to pick the best dress [sic],” she said.

Florence has been at the forefront about issues of sexual harassment. She’s been challenging everyone to take a stand against this mistreatment of women.

When the #MeToo movement started in America, Florence said if local actresses were to do the same, they would get a backlash instead of support.

“We’d ask what they did to encourage it. We’d ask if it was an affair gone sour. We’d violate them again,” she told The Citizen.
