Cape Town - It’s barely been three weeks since we’ve entered into 2019 and award-winning R&B-turned-gospel star Loyiso Bala has started the year with a bang!
The 39-year-old has been appointed as the channel director for the African branch of international Christian-based broadcast television network and the world's largest religious television network, Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
Taking to his social media pages to share the exciting news, the Wrong For You hitmaker posted a press statement of the announcement.
According to the statement, Bala was a suitable candidate for the position as he “brings with him an intuitive understanding of the business having not only presented and produced several television shows…but has also run a successful talent management company since 2007 and is currently completing the final year of his MBA studies at the Henley Business School.”
In the caption of the post, Loyiso explained that his role would include content creation, marketing and bringing new business strategies amongst other things.
“I have been many things in life, but to be appointed as channel director for @tbninafrica is the greatest honour! “he began.
“My role will be to lead an experienced team in increasing the overall viewer-experience. This includes content creation and strategic scheduling, brand and channel identity, marketing and new business strategies.”
The musician also expressed how he was looking forward to the challenges his new position would bring.
“I am honoured and humbled to be granted the opportunity to lead such an amazing team that I’ve come to feel part of over the past 3 years…I look forward to the challenge and to continue building on the great success that has been achieved by TBN so far.”
