Muvhango actress Innocentia Manchidi who plays Rendani on the SABC2 soapie, got the surprise of her life when her family and husband threw a surprise birthday lunch for her 27th birthday while she was busy planning an intimate braai party.

“I turned 27 on the 15th of February and had such an amazing day. The plan was to have a braai at home with family for Sunday lunch to celebrate my day, but husband planned this beautiful birthday lunch BEHIND MY BACK,” she shared.

She says her husband Mpho with the help of her family pulled this one under her nose and she didn’t even suspect him doing it.

“You definitely outsmarted me wow babe!” she admitted. In spite of that, she was pleasantly surprised and thanked her bae in a post with many pictures of the event.

“This was so special I loved the intimacy and simplicity, definitely me. I love you @mphomanchidi you killed this, you and your people,” she said.

She admits the surprise brought her to tears.

“seeing my whole family there was so emotional for me being the cry baby I am. Thank you honey @mphomanchidi . You are my whole entire world.”

Innocentia and Mpho tied the knot earlier last year in a glamourous white affair. She has been open about the anxiety about this chapter in her life even though she’s excited about it as well.

When the festivities of the wedding were over and she had to move out of her parents’ nest, she expressed having mixed emotions.

“The day I left my parents’ house and moved to my new home was filled with so many mixed emotions.” But those were laid to rest once she got the hang of her new life. She looks like she’s settled in quite comfortably in the makoti role.
