Many people love to hate Real Housewives of Johannesburg blond beauty Lethabo Lejoy Mathatho. She is outspoken, confident and sparked some drama on the Mzansi Magic reality show.
But she won’t let the negativity get to her and lockdown has made her appreciate the small things in life.
“I miss my family so much,” she says.
“The first thing I will do when the lockdown is lifted is to cross the province and go to Limpopo to see my family,” she shares.Although it gets a bit lonely for her in her mansion, she says lockdown has been good to her.
“Although I’ve gained a bit of weight, the lockdown has been somewhat good for me. I got to do the things that I usually never have time to do. I tried new recipes; I even found myself baking. I had time to read more and watch all the TV programs that revived my love for production,” she adds.
But the best thing about this lockdown was her having time to connect with herself. “I love spending time alone to reflect on life. But I’ve learned to be a little kinder to myself,” she says. “I realised I’m a good writer. I was never big on writing but during the lockdown, I kept a journal for my thoughts”.
“Before I always put down my thoughts by voice recording, but I have been writing a lot lately.”
Lejoy is currently shooting a TV show airing after lockdown. “I can’t say much about it but it’s a big surprise.”
