Johannesburg - Drummer for the Script, Glen power, sat down with Drum ahead of the band’s show at the Sun Arena, Times Square, in Pretoria on Friday.

The 39 year old told us girls from Alexandra are some of the most talented vocalists he’s seen. “I’ve seen plays in New York, in the West End in London [but] these were absolutely amazing,” he says.

The Script is currently working with Afrika Tikkun, an NGO based throughout Gauteng that deals with child abuse. “I love the message that they have and the work that they’re doing to empower these young people,” he said.

And when it comes to the dreams he has for SA, he wants every voice to be heard and for all to have freedom.

"Freedom of expression, freedom to be who you are and freedom to love who you want to love. That’s my dream [for South Africa], that everyone has that freedom. It’s not something you need to fight for, you know?” Check out the full interview below!
