Talk show host Wendy Williams is currently going through the process of divorcing her husband of 21 years, Kevin Hunter and although she is ready to move on, she will still hold on to one thing from their marriage.

Speaking during an interview on SiriusXM recently, the 55-year-old revealed how she would keep her soon-to-be ex husband’s surname.

“No, my name is Wendy Hunter, that's my son's name and you can't take away 20 [years]... Don't make me cry,” she responded to the show’s host Karen Hunter who asked whether Wendy would change her surname on financial accounts once the divorce had been finalised.

Although Wendy was emotional while speaking about her divorce, she made it clear that she wasn’t willing to reconcile with Kevin Hunter.

“No, don't ask! No!" she firmly said. "Girl, no. Don't ask. I know what you're saying, but my family is good, and we'll always be family."

Wendy filed for divorce from her husband in April 2019, following his infidelity which led to his alleged mistress, Shana Hudson giving birth to a child suspected to be his.
