- 1kg - potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 90ml - butter
- 180ml - milk, heated
- - salt and freshly ground black pepper
Place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
1. Boil for 20- 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender, then drain.
2 Using a rubber spatula or the back of a wooden spoon, push the potatoes through a fine sieve into a large bowl.
3 Stir in the butter and milk, folding gently until the mash is smooth.
