She was accused by Twitter users of cultural appropriation as this is a hairstyle that is normally worn by black women but they often have to deal with being ridiculed for it – which Kendall Jenner doesn’t have to deal with because for her, it’s a choice.

Twitter users felt that the 23-year-old has appropriated black culture. One user, @tinaallamm commented: I'm EXHAUSTED of white people constantly appropriating black culture and wearing hairstyles that we are always ridiculed/ chastised for having and just doing it because they want to “look different” or “stand out”.

can she come up with something else??? this act is getting redundant now— ???????? (@tinaallamm) August 26, 2019
Even though Kendall’s hairstyle might have angered a lot of people, some still felt that it was just a hairstyle and that no one calls out black women for wearing wigs and weaves.

What if... now bare with me. What if bone straight black hair was appropriating Asian culture? ??— Coleman Yi (@coleman_yi) August 29, 2019
I will never get this. Why is Kendall Jenner having cornrows in her hair any different to a black women straightening her naturally curly hair? If one is cultural appropriation, surely both are. I have never seen an African American woman with naturally straight hair.— hashhag (@vviivviieennnne) August 29, 2019
Kendall is not the only sister in the Kardashian family that has rocked the hairstyle, Kim and Kylie have also been spotted rocking braids.

I didn’t think my daughters love for my clothes and jewelry would happen so soon. I’ll literally be working and come home to find North dressed up in all of my things. I made her these kid size @carolinalemkeberlin sunglasses because I really wouldn’t share mine lol! I love my fashionista Northie so much!
