Learning to live with a childhood trauma is a long and difficult process. But it is possible to find light at the end of the dark tunnel and a reason to wake up every morning.

It’s taken Sindiswa Adams many years to reach this point, but she says she's now ready to fight for her life.

Sindiswa was 22 years old when she first decided to commit suicide. She was a media studies student in Johannesburg at the time and had returned home for the holiday. One day, she swallowed pills with a Castle Lite beer she’d found in her parent’s fridge.
