Against all odds, she’s made it through to the age of 31.

Today, Nomfundo Zakwe has quite a few strings to her bow – she’s a master’s student at Durban University of Technology (DUT), a mental health activist, and she was chosen to attend the 2020 Peace Summit for Emerging Leaders in Bangkok, Thailand.
