If you don’t already know him, here’s name you should look out for – Hlumelo Nyaluza.

His mission, he tells Drum, is to “live and breathe being against the norm”. And he seems to be doing just that.

Originally from the Eastern Cape, the 28 year old’s tale is a proudly South African rags to riches story. He lost his mother to cancer when he was just 13 and his university career was far from promising. He dropped out twice – once from an electrical engineering degree at Nelson Mandela University and the second time from his IT studies at Walter Sisulu University.
