A mother whose baby was delivered by an emergency C-section at only 25 weeks while she was unconscious and on ventilators for Covid-19 has finally met her new baby weeks after he was born.
Nosipho Nkantini (40) from Eerste River says she's over the moon to be able to see her little boy, Oyena who’s still in the neonatal intensive care unit at Netcare N1 City Hospital in Goodwood.
The last few weeks have been a traumatic journey for both mother and child, as Covid-19 played havoc with her health and his birth.
