It's been hard. They have a lot less customers due to the already high taxi fares and things are going to get even hairier after the last petrol price increase. 

Taxis have already started talking about price increases, which will hit consumers hard.

But they have no choice, Eastern Cape taxi driver Mbulelo Mthembu tells Drum. He tries to contextualise the increase.
