The union together with the dismissed actors met with SABC on Thursday.
Cosatu leader Zwelinzima Vavi announced via twitter on Wednesday saying; "Coming out of a meeting with Generations artists on strike who have been dismissed for demanding what they worth."
Cosatu then met with the SABC the following day but MMSV who they also wanted to engage with was not present at the meeting.
Vavi said Mfundi Vundla, executive producer of Generations and owner of MMSV had refused to meet with them.
" Mfundi Vundla flatly refused to meet COSATU - he is on holiday at Michigan -USA. He also refused to meet Minister of Arts & Culture," Vavi tweeted.
Vavi also said that Mfundi told Cosatu to refrain from contacting him as the dispute had nothing to do with them.
However, despite Mfundi and MMSV absence the talks between Cosatu and SABC are looking good according to Vavi. After the meeting he tweeted, "We just had a productive engagement with SABC - established a process to try resolve generations cast strike."
Time will tell how the whole issue will be resolved. Will Mfundi finally budge? We will keep you updated.
