Generations actress honors Madiba

For her 67 Minutes to honor Madiba, actress Nambitha Mpumlwana decided to dedicate her afternoon with elders at Birchwood Hotel at a lunch she co-hosted. “Every year on my birthday I take time out and spend time with elderly people. I love the wisdom I get and laughter when I hang with you guys,” she addressed the crowd of over 800 as the MC for the day.

The event that had elderly people who came from Boksburg, Brakpan, Tembisa, Kempton Park  and other areas around East Rand.  “I was raised by my grandmother so doing this is a great honour in both her and Tata Madiba’s memory.  It’s just a priceless experience.”

As part of her honouring of Madiba, Nambitha will also join the Zoleka Mandela Foundation in Cosmos City as they donate to a charity there.
