Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. And with jobs being particularly scarce right now, you might be thinking of setting up your own business.

But it’s tough out there for entrepreneurs, founder of social networking platform FiligreeNet, Ntokozo Hlatshwayo tells Drum.

“The SMME (small, micro and medium enterprise) sector is largely responsible for employing the highest number of people in the country, but many small businesses fail before reaching five years,” he says.
