4 Eskort Espetadas
2T smoked chilli flakes
zest and juice of 1 lime
125ml (½c) butter, melted
8 thin slices of bread
1c grated mozzarella cheese
1c grated cheddar cheese
salt and freshly ground pepper
Prepare a braai fire.
- Combine the chilli, lime zest and juice and melted butter and brush the mealies.
- Brush the outsides of the sarmies with the chilli and lime butter and fill with the mozzarella and cheddar.
- Braai the Espetadas 5 minutes each side (4 sides), 20 minutes in total.
- Braai the mealies, continually basting with the lime butter (10 minutes)
- Braai the sarmies 5 minutes on each side
- Serve the Espetadas with the mealies and the cheesy toasties. Add a salad if desired.
