DRUM’s first virtual stokvel was a hit – stay tuned for our next one

Did you manage to score a virtual seat at the first online DRUM Stokvel event on Saturday 29 August?

Hundreds of people from all over SA tuned in – from Bloemfontein to Port Elizabeth, East London and Johannesburg – and enjoyed the informative session from the comfort of their homes. We unpacked crucial information and it was all FREE – plus, lucky audience members won data! Now that’s our kind of event.

Not even a few technical difficulties got in the way of the fun.

Here’s what you missed . . .

The short-but-sweet event was packed with speakers with a wealth of knowledge on health, stokvels and everything in between.

The audience got a chance to engage in a variety of topics, including dealing with Covid-19 at home and at work, when to get tested and how to differentiate between the flu and coronavirus symptoms.

Attendees left armed with information on how to start and run a stokvel – property and car stokvels – how to tell the difference between a real- and a pyramid-scheme stokvel, and how to choose the right platform.

It was the perfect opportunity to get a little motivated when MaSoft gave a pep-talk on “beating your Goliath” – which is something we all must face in the daily grind.

As if that wasn’t enough to make anyone’s Saturday, we had several prizes up for grabs for the most active audience members, the best questions and some were given away – just because!

The audience was funny, engaged and so patient as they praised the speakers and asked relevant questions – and walked away with books, watches, beauty hampers and a drinks hamper. Everyone’s a winner with DRUM!

If you missed the webinar, head to Crowdcast to view the replay.

Stay tuned for the next stokvel event.
