Get all the benefits of being a DStv customer across all packages with DStv Communities
DStv Communities, launched on 1 September, is for all customers who are in organised groups – like stokvels, burial societies and social clubs. Here’s how you can be a part of it!
Harness Group Power with DStv Communities
South Africans socialise together, work together, live together and play together – and now, with DStv Communities, can be entertained together too.
DStv Communities offers active qualifying groups the opportunity to sign up for each member’s choice of DStv package, make one collective payment and reap a host of benefits in the process. DStv Communities members will get all the benefits of being a DStv residential customer, across all packages – hundreds of movies, sport, series, news and kids’ channels, access to free or reduced subscription to Showmax (package-dependent).
Groups such as stokvels are an important part of daily life for many South Africans, and many different types of stokvels qualify – subject to meeting specific criteria to participate in DStv Communities. These may be rotational, grocery or investment groups, burial societies and social clubs – but many other types of groups that meet the qualifying criteria may apply to participate and harness the power of their collective purchasing influence. The group must have, at its heart, the objective of saving as a group.
Once qualified and signed up for DStv Communities, the group earns rebates for all members – based on the number of active customers across the DStv packages; the number of active days; and the usage of other value-added services, like BoxOffice rentals. The rebate is paid out as a cash-back every six months.
Individual DStv Communities members will be able to access their individual statements, communication and have access to the DStv Self Service platforms and functionality. The group will be issued monthly rebate statement for them to keep track of how they are performing.
