She’s just completed week 3 of 4 and tells us how it’s going.
Did you face any major challenges in week 3 of Detox with DRUM?
There were no real challenges in week 3. I did have a few cravings for things that were not part of the detox but other than that it was pretty straight forward. I stuck to all the recipes and just swopped out anything to snack on that I am allergic to.
Has your partner been eating the same meals? If so, are they enjoying the programme?
Initially my husband wasn’t going to fully commit to the programme with me. But he began smelling and seeing all the tasty dishes I’ve been making and he is now joining me! I’m surprised he hasn’t complained about eating less. He’s really been enjoying the meals with me, especially the flavours we get from things we’ve never tried before. These recipes will now be the new norm for us. My husband has also, like me, had more energy and less brain fog recently.
Do you find that a new way of eating has become a habit yet?
This new way of eating has definitely became a habit. In future, I think I will continue buying everything for the recipes and pantry swops and looking forward to making the meals we enjoyed the most in the future again.
Are you having any cravings for junk food and what do you do when a craving hits?
This week, I was faced with lots of sugar and bread cravings. I didn’t have anything in my pantry like chocolate or chips so I had popcorn.
