Megan Luiters completed Detox with DRUM, our 4-week online nutritious eating plan and tells us about her journey.

How did you find the 4-week eating plan?

It was much better and easier than I expected it to be. What I liked about it from the start is that isn’t a “diet” but a detox of anything potentially harmful in my eating plan. The meals are surprisingly tasty, the pantry swop (where I could swop like for like foods) kept me on the right track and the daily tips proved to be helpful.

In the beginning I also thought I would have to spend more money on buying ingredients for the daily dinner recipes but the plan was a blessing in disguise as my husband said because before, we didn’t have this much control over our food budget, now we do. It’s a financial gain for us to know exactly what’s being bought, where it gets used and knowing it gets used again.

Who would you suggest Detox with DRUM for and why?

I would recommend this programme to anyone trying to go plant-based but is afraid of saying goodbye to meat. And for those who want to eat less processed and more whole foods. This programmes makes that transition more practical. I recommend this programme to family and friends now because the health benefits can be felt and it’s a bonus to expand your pantry with healthy, delicious dishes. This eating plan has given my body and mentality a reset. I feel lighter, I can concentrate better and do more. I have more energy, I’m sleeping better and making better, healthier choices. I’m happy and I feel good.

Will you keep any of the habits you picked up?

Yes, like eating less sugar. Satisfying a sugar craving is very short-lived compared to the long term benefits I’ve felt after simply swopping anything unhealthy out for healthier alternatives. I’m also going to continue eating predominantly plant-based.
