What you need to know about Busi Skenjana
She is a dynamic individual who has been part of stokvels her entire adult life. Founder of BSK Marketing and the Stokvel Academy, she believes stokvels are an important and unique way for women to achieve dreams such as buying their own cars, paying for their children’s education and more. As early as the 1980s, she was already looking at ways brands and companies could partner with stokvels to test products and gain advantages for stokvel members. She is regarded as the “stokvel guru”, and an expert in the market.
More about DStv Communities
This new system means each stokvel member chooses their type of subscription to DStv and the stokvel makes a collective payment for these subscriptions. Based on how many members sign up as active users, how much the group uses value-added services and the number of active days, your stokvel then earns a rebate which is paid out as a cash-back every six months. DStv head of marketing Thabisa Mkhwanazi, who will be there to give more information about the initiative, is a driven individual with years of experience in the field of marketing, both locally and abroad, including massive brands such as KFC and various Unilever clients.
