Toad in a Hole


Sweet Peppadew® Pepper & Feta flavour make this Toad in a Hole a charming low-effort dinner.


375g Eskort Peppadew® Pepper & Feta Pork Sausages

200g vine or cherry tomatoes

125ml (½c) red onions, chopped

15ml (1T) thyme

30ml (2T) cooking oil


560ml (2¼c) flour

3ml (½t) salt

2 eggs

187ml (¾c) milk


  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Place sausages, tomatoes, onions, thyme and oil in an oven dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  • While the sausages are in the oven, combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl and make a well in the middle.
  • Break eggs into the well and mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Add milk and mix.
  • Pour the batter over the cooked sausages and bake for another 20 minutes.


  • Serve with a fresh salad and smooth cheese.
