A stroke can lead to brain damage, making it deadly, but most people can’t tell when they are having a stroke.

Experts say due to poor patient awareness of symptoms and inadequate access to fast medical help, survival and recovery chances are slim.

However, adjusting your lifestyle and getting rid of unhealthy habits is all you need to do to minimise your chances of ever having a stroke – and hopefully live longer.
