We all saw them. Posting, preening and prancing on their social media posts. Warning us that summer bodies are made in winter. 

Instead of jumping on the band wagon, what did many of us do? 

Every morning, as winter sunk her claws in deep, we used our big toes as thermometers, sticking them out of the bed for a milli-second to gauge how cold it was. Then – having confirmed it was colder than the North Pole so that morning run could certainly wait – we rolled back into a foetal position for another round of that good, good winter slumber.
