Can ex-lovers truly become friends? And if they can, is it ever okay to praise your ex on social media if either of you are in a new relationship? Experts says yes, but only if it is done with consideration and respectfully.

Musician AKA, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, recently got a lot of negative responses when he posted a picture of his baby mama, DJ Zinhle, who is in a relationship with Murdah Bongz (real name Bongani Mohosana). AKA, who is dating Nadia Nakai, addressed the negativity by saying making their blended family work is a sign of maturity.

Relationship expert and author Paula Quinsee says, on its own, the gesture of saying kind words to your baby mama or baby daddy on mother’s day, father’s day or their birthday is fine.
