The cost of friendship: are you expecting a little too much from your friends?

Imagine not being able to enjoy your hard-earned cash the way you want to because a needy friend thinks you should be spending your money on them.

Twitter user @nokshabangu sent the internet into a tizz recently when she posted that single mothers should be supported in more tangible ways than just offering encouraging support and advice.

In her post, she suggested that friends should rather take kids for a weekend or take over one of the child’s expenses to alleviate the pressure on the single mothers.
