Beyoncé and Jay-Z host a super-private Oscars after-party

Beyoncé is the queen of keeping her private life very private and she’s done it again!

Power couple Bey and hubby Jay-Z hosted an Oscars after-party in honour of singer-actress Mary J Blige.

Mary’s compelling performance as Florence Jackson in Mudbound earned her an Oscar nomination in the best supporting actress category as well as a nomination for best original song.

She’s the first person to be nominated for a performance and original song in the same year and for the same film. SO it’s no surprise she’s being honoured – by Bey and Hova too, who threw a glamorous after-party to celebrate the Be Without You singer.

Tiffany Haddish, Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Jamie Foxx and Drake were invited to the top-secret bash.
The party was held at Chateau Marmont Hotel’s garage in Los Angeles where only about 200 guests were invited.

“It took some masterful manoeuvres to pull this off, and they enjoyed it so much they want to make it annual – keeping it as much on the ‘DL [down-low]’ as possible,”a source told Page Six.

Another source described to US Weekly that, “There is a huge crystal chandelier hanging from the centre of the garage. Black carpet has been laid down with white booths set against the wall to give guests plenty of room to dance. There’s also a classic two-door coupé sports car in the centre of the room.”

For guests staying at the hotel, the preparations for this party were an inconvenience, however, as the driveway of the swanky hotel was blocked off.
“A lot of hotel guests are mad,” The Sun reported.

Wonder if the guests signed non-disclosure agreements since Bey and Jay are so obsessed with their privacy. . .
