Kim Kardashian denies rumors that North has a boyfriend

Johannesburg - Kim Kardashian has denied reports that state that her 5-year-old daughter, North West has a boyfriend.

According to the Daily Mail while leaving the Hollywood Beauty Awards with Chris Appleton that took place on Sunday, the reality star bluntly responded “she doesn't have a boyfriend. Like, is that for real? She's 5,” when asked if it wasn’t “too soon for North West to have a boyfriend.”

The rumors started when pictures were posted on rapper Consequence’s 7-year-old son Caiden Mills’ Instagram page. One of the pictures showed Caiden with his arm around North with the caption "Boo’d up".

The rumours were further fuelled when whoever is managing the child’s account posted pictures of Caiden sending North shout-outs and later posting a picture of him purchasing a gift from popular jewellery store, Tiffany’s, which was captioned: "She’s gonna LoVe It. Wrap that up sir, I’ll take it."

Although it is not clear who is managing 7-year-old Caiden Mills’ account, his posts have people convinced that something is indeed going on with him and North.

While some may find the idea cute and innocent, studies show that children who date while too young are more likely to develop concerning behavioural problems.

According to researchers at York University in Canada, child daters who are below the age of 11 are twice as likely to have unsafe sex, use alcohol and indulge in risky behaviours.

The researchers also discovered that pre-teens were not able to cope with the emotional strain of a relationship and going through the stress can have damaging effects.
