The Mzansi Magic telenovela, Gomora captured viewers attention with their eclectic mix of rising stars and veteran actors. You can't go wrong with a cast that has Connie Chiume, Katlego Danke, Thembi Seete and Zolisa Xaluva - right?

From the first episode, viewers have been following the drama surrounding the two families and the collision of their lives which has been a treat every weekday night. 

From dangerous and gorgeous Mazet, to shy and humorous Teddy, in celebration of their 100th episode, we take a look at all the new talent it brought on our screens.

1. Amamkele Qamata

As a child, Amamkele Qamata (22) loved the spotlight and a year ago, very few people had heard of her but since Gomora hit our screens in March, she became the talk of the town.

She plays the role of Buhle, brother to Langa (Siyabonga Xaba) and daughter to Thati (Katlego Danke) and (Mbongeni) Themba Ndaba whom everybody adores and looks up to.

2. Siphesihle Ndaba

Siphesihle Ndaba (23) landed her first big role as Gomora's gorgeous and fierce Zanele, also known as Mazet having just obtained her Honours Degree in Dramatic Arts at Rhodes University. 

"Working on set is so surreal. I have moments where I pause, and I'm filled with such gratitude and appreciation for my path aligning. I have such talented and dedicated cast members; experienced and new to the industry", she told DRUM

3. Ntobeko Sishi

Ntobeko Sishi (22) is not new to Mzansi's screens having played a schoolboy in SABC 2's Signal Hill in 2018. He plays the role of Ntokozo, the son of Melusi (Zolisa Xaluva) and Gladys (Thembi Seete). He captured Mzansi's attention in his involvement in a hijacking gone wrong in the show's premiere. 

Sishi is a two-time graduate from the University of Cape Town and is also a musician.

4. Sicelo Buthelezi 

This was his first TV role but Buthelezi (21) has become a firm favourite amongst viewers for his humorous yet heartfelt portrayal of Teddy in the show. 

Speaking to DRUM in May, he shared how he's having fun with Teddy's character and is inspired by many of his co-stars. "I am not in many scens with Mam'Connie but I am able to learn from her", he said. "I am excited about being part of a cast like this".

5. Siyabonga Xaba

Although not a new face to our screens, Xaba (23) is popularly known for playing Langa in the telenovela. He first rose to prominence after playing the role of Zweli Hlatshwayo in SABC 1's political thriller, End Game .

Xaba has done beautiful job portraying of intelligent Langa, son of Thati (Katlego Danke) and Mbongeni (Themba Ndaba)'s struggle in transitioning from affluent Sandton to the busy, high densed streets of Gomora.
