Cape Town - DJ Lamiez Holworthy and DJ Speedsta are the new presenters of SABC 1 music show Live Amp.

Since the abrupt departure of the former beauty queen turned DJ, Lerato Kganyago and DJ Warras from SABC 1 music show Live Amp, viewers have waited with baited breathe as to who will replace the presenters.

Well, wait no more; joining the new Live Amp, with a new look and feel is former V- entertainment presenter and DJ Lesgeo “Speedsta” Nkaiseng (26) and Pretoria born female DJ Lamiez Holworthy (26).

Hoping not to make any mistakes on his first day on the job the Metro FM DJ, Speedsta says he is hoping people won’t even notice the change in presenters.

“We have been rehearsing since Wednesday and we pray for the best and that person will welcome us with open arms.” Not new to TV presenting, Speedsta says he understands that he has big shoes to fill since DJ Warrass left the show.

“I do feel the pressure of having to feel Warras’ shoes but I also know that I am good at what I do.” Speedsta says he promises to bring his own flavor to the show, “To date, there hasn’t been a Tswana speaking presenter on the show besides Bonang, back in the day.

“So I’m very excited to be bringing my language and my own flavor that is unique to me.”

This being DJ Lamiez’s debut on mainstream television, the Pretoria born beauty says she cannot wait to prove herself.

“I have a little bit of experience from my Tshwane TV show that I did a while ago but I’m really looking forward to bringing something new to the show with my tattoo look and the way I speak,” Lamiez says she speaks sePetori (Pretoria English) which is a combination on English, Tsana, Xitshonga, Sotho, and Afrikaans. But what excites her most is giving hope to young black South African girls.

“I want to show other average black girls that if they work hard, anything is possible.” Nervous about her debut, Lamiez says she can’t wait to see how people will react to her look and presenting style.

“I know I look different with the tattoos but this is me in the purest form and that is why I was chosen amongst thousands of hopefuls.”
