It is a bittersweet goodbye for actor Muzi Mthabela who has graced the screens of Mzansi Magic's Isibaya for seven years.

In an interview with Move! he says all is not lost, he is still going to be on TV.

"I am only a channel away. I will still be in your lounges," Muzi says. Although he can't go into detail about the new role he is going to play on a new production, he says he is excited to bring this character to life.

He played the character of Duma Ngema, who initially started out as inkabi (hitman)-carrying a gun all the time to someone respected and trusted to solve problems as a regent in the Ngubane chieftancy.

"Muzi’s leadership skills, passion and professionalism is impeccable. He is a respectful and loving colleague to everyone that he works with. Our relationship with Muzi doesn’t end now that he is leaving Isibaya, Muzi is and will always be a member of the Bomb production family," says Desiree Markgraaff of Bomb Productions.

"I left on a good note. It is a bitter moment feeling because I created great relationships. Brothers like Sdumo Mtshali who have helped me become a better performer, such are brothers for life. And then it is sweet because, Duma has laid a foundation for me to explore characters," Muzi adds.

He admits that what lies ahead for him is a challenge, after playing the same character for so many years, he wants to make sure that he does justice to the character and does not bring Duma along to the new set.
